Why Saco Kettlebell "Club"?
When trying to decide what type of establishment to open, we kept
balking at the word 'gym'. When we think of gyms, we think of
large numbers of people vying for equipment, lots of wait time,
little instruction/encouragement and few results. "Club"
better describes the concepts of group involvement and customer
focus we envision.
Our goal is to provide a comfortable workout space, unique and interesting equipment and small, personalized group workouts.
Workouts will change to keep the body guessing and the member
engaged.
The Saco Kettlebell Club will have far fewer members
than your typical gym; members who will receive personal attention
during all workouts, every workout.
Who are we?
The Saco Kettlebell Club is owned and managed by Greg and Sharon
Staples. Greg is the hands-on instructor, dreaming up cool
workouts and sweating along with members during workouts.
Sharon takes care of the back end - website, financials, etc.
Greg is a Portland firefighter who has been lifting weights for over 30 years. Several years ago a friend introduced him to the kettlebell and he's never looked back. The injuries and pulled muscles from heavy lifting are a thing of the past and Greg is more fit today than ever before. An AOS
and MAXBell-Certified kettlebell
instructor, Greg will be leading all the Club's classes.
Where are we?
- We are located on the ground floor of the North Dam Mill, 2 Main Street, Biddeford, ME. Our building is right on the Saco River , built in the 1800's by WestPoint Pepperell.
